KabarDuri.id , PEKANBARU – Pelalawan district is designated as the host for the implementation of the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the Riau Province level in 2021. If there are no transverse obstacles, the implementation of the provincial level MTQ is planned to be held in mid-June 2021.

Head of the Riau Provincial Secretariat’s People’s Welfare Bureau, Zulkifli Syukur, Monday (15/2/2021) said that this year’s Riau MTQ will still be implemented in Pelalawan as the host. Because the 2020 MTQ was canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. but the technical implementation is still being discussed, because until now Riau is being faced with the Covid-19 outbreak.
“MTQ Riau 2021 will still be Pelalawan as the host. Because last year it was canceled in Pelalawan because of Covid-19. It was based on the agreement,” he said.
The Riau provincial government has allocated a budget of approximately Rp. 6 billion for the implementation of the provincial level MTQ this year.
“We are currently in the host’s village for preparations. We have also had several meetings with the host to finalize preparations,” he said.
